Not much has been heard of "Spotify" in our lands. I can bet that many people have heard about this service but they have no idea what it is and what it is used for.
Spotify is one music service, podcast si video streaming what makes it through USA si UK from 2008 to the present day. The service is expanded worldwide, being present and aperitised mostly in Europe, New Zealand, Australia, South America and Asia. In 2017 Spotify counts over 160 of millions of users, of which 71 of millions of subscribers. That is, those who pay a monthly subscription to get rid of ads and benefit from all the premium features of the service.
For several days, Spotify has been present in Romania, but it is too early to talk about appreciation and popularity. Before we find out how many users will be able to gather from here and especially how many will be available to put their hands in their pockets to become Spotify subscribers, we must admit that we are "privileged". As usual, when it comes to this country. From American companies, to Western European ones and now Sweden, Romania has always been launched on the last places. The Swedish company that owns the Spotify service arrived in Romania some time after the launches in Bulgaria, Cyprus and Poland. We must admit that we are honored that Romania's entry on the Spotify map was made together with that of Vietnam, Israel and South Africa.
How can you listen to Spotify music?
If you are familiar with Google Play Music on Android or with Apple Music on iOS, then it won't be hard for you to handle Spotify. Spotify offers a gallery of 36 million songs of all genres. What I liked personally, they seem to be better sorted on playlists than in Apple Music, but as a service user Apple I would not give up in favor of Spotify.
If you are curious, what I understand is a period 7 days trial where you can listen to Spotify music without being limited. One month trial if you decide to switch to a Premium subscription that will sell music without advertisements, the ability to listen offline music (favorite songs are downloaded on the device) and on demand (on-demand).
All you have to do is install the Spotify Android app or iOS and create an account. It also offers the ability to sign in with your Facebook account, but I do not recommend you to do this unless you intend to purchase a subscription.
Once your app has been installed and connected to your Spotify account, you have access to all the library of songs included in this service. As I said above, I'm over 36 of millions of songs in playlists of all genres. From Hip-Hop, Pop, Rock to Chill, House, meditation, ambient, mood and classical music.
The cool part is that you can access and listen to all the music you have in the Spotify application on your iPhone or Android at any time from all the devices that support this online music service. You can access Spotify from your computer regardless of the operating systems Windows, macOS or Linux and you can redistribute playlists to friends on FaceBook Messenger. Unfortunately Apple will not provide native support Spotify for the new smart speaker HomePod.
Alternative Spotify in Romania
Apple Music (45 million songs) is Spotify's main rival on iOS and macOSand Google Play Music on Android, but other players that offer similar services should not be left behind. It should be noted that the local service Zonga has everything 36 of millions of songs and costs nothing. Both users will have to listen to some commercials. neither Deezer and Tidal are also services used by Romanian users and for which they do not have to raise money from their pockets.
