Some iPhone users are facing an unpleasant issue in the Notes app. After accepting the new iCloud Terms and Conditions, notes in the Apple Notes app have disappeared from the iPhone. The Notes app seems to disconnect from iCloud, displaying a blank page as if all notes had been deleted.
This bug seems closely related to accepting the new terms and conditions recently updated by Apple for using the Notes app. Even though, in theory, these two issues should not be connected, many users have reported that their notes disappeared from their iPhone after accepting the new terms and conditions.
What to Do If Notes in the Apple Notes App Have Disappeared from Your iPhone
Fortunately, the notes in the Apple Notes app have only disappeared from the iPhone and haven’t been deleted from the iCloud account. Solving this issue is straightforward if you follow these steps:
1. Close the Notes app and open the Settings app.
2. Go to your Apple user account (the top option in the Settings menu).
3. Open iCloud options, then go to the Notes app.
4. Ensure synchronization is enabled for the Notes app (Sync this iPhone).
5. If synchronization was off, enable it, then open the Notes app to check if your notes start reappearing.
If synchronization was already enabled, turn it off (select the option to keep the notes stored on your device), then re-enable it and restart your phone.

There is no indication that this bug leads to the permanent loss of notes in the Apple Notes app. The notes remain in the iCloud account and can be accessed from other devices or online at https://www.icloud.com/notes.
Most likely, Apple will resolve this situation in a future update to the iOS 18 operating system.
