The ChatGPT extension for Siri was introduced in macOS Sequoia 15.2 Beta, but along with this long-awaited feature, the update also came with a bug. A pop-up Software Update Notification Manager requesting access to unlock software update settings.

This pop-up appears periodically, especially when the Mac is open, after the user has logged in. Apparently in this version macOS Sequoia Beta 15.2 (24C5073e), the system responsible for software update notifications does not have sufficient privileges to run.

Even if it is a notification that bothers users, it is not a cause for concern. It's a bug that Apple will remove it in future updates of macOS Sequoia 15.2.
