We all know that there are people addicted to selfies who do not miss a day without taking a picture and posting it on social networks. The more successful a selfie is, the more "appreciation" the author receives from friends. This practice has been in the attention of psychologists for some time, who talk about this practice as a rather serious problem.
It is really a serious problem if we look at a report recently published by the researchers US National Library of Medicine (National Library of Medicine of the United States), which shows that in the period 2011 - 2017 were registered 259 global deaths, following a selfie in dangerous places. See here the official report.
In Romania, some of the teenage girls were electrocuted deadly trying on news stories to make a successful self-esteem on trains or bridges metahigh schools in the vicinity of high voltage lines. Not to mention the road accidents broadcast live on Facebook even by the victims.
The most common deaths among those who searched "extreme selfie”Took place in the top of the mountainson tall buildings, beside lakes or means of transportation. But there are few cases where teenagers have lost their lives trying to do one selfie near a wild animal, of a high-voltage lines or firing firearms.
To prevent these accidents and reduce the number of deaths, researchers recommend marking dangerous areas with ads. "NO selfie zones". It is unlikely to see "no selfie zones" announcements on the railway at distances of 100 meters, but in the mountains, on dangerous rocks and in other places frequented by tourists, these announcements would help.
US National Wrestlers' Report Library of Medicine also shows that most deaths occurred in India, Russia, USA and Pakistan, and approximately 72.5% of the victims are men.
Most selfies are posted on social networks Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
