The year 2024 is very likely to bring more RAM to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. According to the latest rumors, it seems that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models of Apple they will both have 8GB of RAM, an increase from the 6GB of RAM in the case iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
In a research note with investment firm Haitong International Securities, technology analyst Jeff Pu reiterated his belief that all iPhone 16 models will be equipped with 8GB of RAM. This RAM upgrade will definitely improve performance for multitasking on the iPhone.
More RAM on iPhone 16 and Wi-Fi 6E support
Regarding iPhone 15, the RAM configuration is as follows:
- iPhone 15: 6GB
- iPhone 15 Plus: 6GB
- iPhone 15 Pro: 8GB
- iPhone 15 Pro Max: 8GB
According to rumors, more RAM will be installed on the iPhone 16:
- iPhone 16: 8GB
- iPhone 16 Plus: 8GB
- iPhone 16 Pro: 8GB
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 8GB
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are also expected to support Wi-Fi 6E, which operates on the 6GHz band, enabling faster wireless speeds and reducing signal interference with a compatible router. For the range iPhone 15, Wi-Fi 6E is limited to Pro models.
