Google Assistant Vs. Siri on iPhone โ€“ Experience matters! :)

Update:

Today I decided to do my best to install Google Assistant on an iPhone 7 which I had logged on Apple ID from Romania. Following the tutorial here: goo.gl/1O1NXa  I managed to get it install Google Assistant and put it a little at work.

The first cool thing is that he understands very well what you tell him. Compared to Siri, Google Assistant understood every time I asked it and gave me the required results.

An example. I asked him "what will the weather be like this weekend in Bucharest?". In short. In English, of course.

The answer came promptly. Both in writing on the iPhone screen and vocally. He also gave me a tip. "You would need an umbrella".

I did the same thing with Siri, to whom I asked the same question. The answer did not satisfy me at all.

Vocal, he did nothing but tell me "Here will be the weather in Bucharest for this weekend ..,"And he showed me weather forecast all week, compared to Google Assistant who gave me results on weekends. Friday Saturday and Sunday. Ah. Note that the test is done on a Thursday.

The part even more fun was when I searched for one sporting goods store. Fortuna Sports. Siri I thought he was allergic to the word "Fortuna". At question "Where is Fortuna Sports?" Siri remains blocked immediately after "Where is".

I also tried iPad and on MacBook Pro. The result was the same. He was stuck without listening to any voice command. Was upset.

Most likely, Google Assistant used search engine data and related to what I asked through voice control. Normally, "fortuna" and "sports" are two simple words, but put together, he understood that it is about the Fortuna Sports store.

The voice command โ€œtake me to ..", He gave me confirmation that he understood (voice and text) and automatically opened the application Google Map Navigator cu route already configured. From my current location to the Fortuna Sports store.

In conclusion, in two very simple tests, Siri was definitely ahead of Google Assistant.

I don't think so in the future Apple will be able to keep up with Google Assistant in development of Siri. First of all, Google has a huge volume of data collected from the Google Search search engine, from Android devices, from advertising networks and from other services that the company offers. In addition, Google has another experience of handling data and using it in applications. You may be wondering how Google Map knows when on a road. on a road, there is congested traffic and how does he know how to estimate the delays that may occur with that traffic. Is simple. From the users who have Android phones in their pockets and are stuck in traffic Will it make you think?

I am happy to share my experiences in the field of computers, mobile phones and operating systems, to develop web projects and to bring the most useful tutorials and advice. I like to "play" on the iPhone, MacBook Pro, iPad, AirPort Extreme and on operating systems macOS, iOS, Android and Windows.
