Six years have passed since the iPhone 5 was launched, and the success Apple with this device it was unsuspected. Display 4-inch multi-touch (16:9 aspect ratio) with a resolution of 1.136 × 640 pixels at 326 ppi and a completely new design for a smartphone device, made it sell very well and make many fans. Reason Apple continued to maintain the design of the iPhone 5 and the following year for iPhone 5s, and in the spring of 2016 to launch iPhone SE (Special Edition). Coming back to the iPhone 5, for those who don't know, Apple offers service and spare parts over 5 years for each iPhone model. The period can increase if it is considered that the model is still in use on a large scale.
From this week, Apple included the iPhone 5 on the list of "obsolete" and "obsolete" devices (vintage & obsolete). As of October 30, 2018, the iPhone 5 is considered a device invechit in the USA si out of use in the rest of the world. The difference of terms is made for devices marketed in California si Turkey, where the products are considered "obsolete". However, the regulations in Turkey only apply to Macs and iPads, iPhones not being considered "obsolete". For products classified as "vintage" Apple offers limited support for another 2 years after the devices appeared in this list, and their status will be changed to "obsolete" - "obsolete". After this status, the support stops completely. There will be virtually no spare parts, no support for iOS repairs or updates.

Of course, it does not mean that if your device is on this list it can not be repaired anymore. There are many clandestine services (which we do not recommend) where they will still be found spare parts for iPhone. However, you will not have the guarantee that they will be original or not taken from other compatible devices.
