Apple recently released beta version 3 for iOS 17.3 after many users complained that their iPhone was getting stuck after the previous update.
It seems that the new iOS 17.3 Public Beta 3 doesn't solve this issue. Many iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15, and iPhone 15 Pro devices remain stuck with a black screen during the update.
Fortunately, if your iPhone is stuck during an iOS operating system update, the solution is to hold down the side button for a few seconds until the Apple logo appears. In my case, this method worked, and the iPhone 14 Pro started normally with the new update installed.
In addition to the iOS 17.3 Beta 3 update, Apple has also released beta updates for watchOS 3, iPadOS 10.3, and macOS Sonoma 17.3.
Stolen Device Protection, is the most important feature introduced on the new iOS 17.3 version. It is an additional security measure for sensitive data (passwords, bank cards) in case the iPhone is stolen.
How do you restart an iPhone that has become stuck?
When the iPhone gets stuck after the iOS update and doesn't listen to any commands anymore, the simplest solution is a forced restart (Force Restart).
- Press and quickly release the volume up button.
- Press and quickly release the volume down button.
- Hold down the side button.
- When the logo appears Apple, release the side button.
This method works for all iOS 16 compatible models.
