Update:

All Owners of Apple Watch have recently received the newest update of watchOS. In watchOS 9.4, Apple introduced small changes, but an update seems to me to be among the most important and which targets all owners of Apple Watch. watchOS 9.4 prevents accidental switching off of alarms during sleep.

By default, when voice call notifications appear, notifications from applications or even from alarms, by simply covering the screen Apple Watch, they automatically switch to silence. The function is called "cover to mute” and it is very useful when we don't want to answer the phone call or quickly silence an alert.

It was not necessary, however, that the function "Cover to Mute” to work for alarms as well, especially for those in the module Sleep. It is known that some people wake up more difficult than others, and during sleep we can turn off an alarm by mistake. Whether we don't realize it, or accidentally, as happened many times with Wake-up alarms on Apple Watch.

So that you no longer have problems waking up in the morning, watchOS 9.4 prevents accidental switching off of alarms during sleep with the gesture "Cover to Mute". More precisely, the alarm will continue even if cover the screen with your palm Apple Watch, until you press the button Off from the screen.
